What We Collect

When you use PodNotes, we collect:

• Account info: email, name (when you sign up)
• Audio files: uploaded podcast episodes for transcription
• Transcripts: text you paste or generated from audio
• Usage data: minutes processed, features used

How We Use Your Data

• Transcribe audio using Deepgram Nova-2
• Generate show notes, social posts, and blog posts using Claude AI
• Track usage for billing purposes
• Send transactional emails (welcome, usage alerts)

Audio Processing

Audio files are sent to Deepgram for transcription. Deepgram does not store audio after processing. Audio files are automatically deleted from our storage 7 days after successful transcription.

AI Processing

Transcript text is sent to Anthropic Claude API for content generation. Anthropic does not store or train on API inputs.

Data Retention

• Audio files: deleted 7 days after successful transcription
• Generated content: retained while your account is active
• Account deletion: all data permanently removed within 24 hours

Data Sharing

We never sell your data. We share data only with:

• Deepgram: audio for transcription (not stored)
• Anthropic: transcript text for AI generation (not stored)
• Stripe: payment processing
• Supabase: database hosting (encrypted at rest)
• Resend: transactional emails
